I used a base game maxis dress and the weights are incredibly broken, can anyone help me fix this ? this is my first custom mesh CC

Hello, I've never made a CC outfit but reading other user problem it might be a problem with the uv_1. Have you transferred the uv_1? Share the blend & package file too so others can check it.

Hey! If any weight / uv_1 transfer went wrong you need to just retransfer them again. Remember that you should never transfer weights or uv_1 to body parts( Only if it's really needed, in this case it's not), as they are perfectly done by ea. In this case select body parts and delete them, do weights / uv_1 and what is needed to be done for this outfit and then append new body parts and join to your outfit. Remember about vertex paint too, you did not share file so I do not know what you did already and what not

Remember about vertex paint too, you did not share file so I do not know what you did already and what not I believe i got the uv_1 right since sliders and presets work, but I think I'm getting confused on the weight transfer, I transferred it from a base game dress so i'm not sure what's happening @~@ and the vertex paint was color picked from the body mesh, and i've cut all the excess mesh, but i think i'm just doing something strange on the weight paint edit: ive checked the weight painting in blender and it seems to work?

After transfering weights always use Clean (All Groups) and Limit Total (Limit to 4) in weights menu, this repair your problem. But I got another one because of skirt weights, delete them (both L_skirt and R_skirt) or as a base use outfit that have them included (you'll probably need to cut your mesh into proper meshgroups then) Also as I said before, do not transfer uv_1 and weights to body parts. Parts of your uv map are placed in shoes uv space, use this uv map template to place them correctly

Parts of your uv map are placed in shoes uv space, use this uv map template to place them correctly clean up and limit total fixed it, thank you ! and yeah I'll definitely work on my UVing for sims, i was just porting something I already made for a different thing so I could learn the process of getting it to work c: there are a few texture issues on her legs under her skirt, but your not really supposed to see there anyway ^^'
