Can someone please help me? I spent hours scrolling through my cc on s4s. I changed a bunch of swatches, age flags, etc. and deleted a bunch I didn’t want and swatches I didn’t want. But none of the changes I’ve made have shown up in my game. What am I doing wrong???

Hello!
1. Did you save the edits you made to your packages (if you open the cc again, are your changes still there)?
2. Did you delete the localthumbcache.package from The Sims 4 folder? It's a good idea to delete this file whenever you make changes to your Mods folder.
3. Do you have duplicates? If you have two of the same package, the game might not be using the one you altered.

1.) Yes I saved them!
2.) I will delete that here soon, thank you!
3.) I do have duplicates, many of them. I’m not sure what happened but OneDrive messed up all my sims folders and it’s all disorganized now so there’s like multiple mods folders and multiple locations. I’m not sure which are the correct folders and which to delete so I’ve just been copying and pasting all cc and mods to each folder…. Do you have any advice on how to fix this and clean up my computer and the files?

I've had similar issues with OneDrive recently; it's been restoring deleted files on me. All I can think is when it prompts, "hey you've deleted a ton of files recently, are you sure you want to delete them," you should say yes instead of ignoring it. As far as fixing it goes: C:\Users\(*you*)\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 <--- Here's your Sims 4 folder if you have Windows. C:\Users\(*you*)\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods <--- Here's your Mods folder. You can subdivide this as you like, just remember that script mods can't be more than one folder deep, and you can't have more than five layers of subfolders. You can reorganize by hand and restore everything manually, using s4s to check which copies are the correct ones (you'll probably also get a hint from the "date modified" column if you have it in list view). You could move all copies of your mods folders to your desktop, create new, empty folders in the mods folder to organize it how you like, then start copying the cc into your desired files. As long as you didn't change the name, windows will throw up a "two files have the same name" indicator, letting you know that there's multiple of a particular file, and you'll be able to check which of the two are the right one. There are CC managers that you could try if you don't want to do the sifting by hand. Curseforge is the new EA-affiliated one. Additionally there are CC managers from GameTimeDev and The Sims Resource, although only the former may be free. I haven't used any of them, so I can't recommend them or guarantee they'll work for what you want, but they have the potential to be of use to you.

Thank you so much! I ended up copying and pasting every file into my electronic arts/mods location folder and then deleting all the duplicates in the other locations. Then i just copied and pasted what mods are in the true mods folder into my s4s mods folder so that I could go through them on s4s. I think I also wasn’t selecting the correct flags in s4s for them to actually show up in the game, as well as, it was probably reading some duplicate files that hadn’t been edited or modified. I’m hoping that finally this will work. I haven’t checked in my game yet. I’m going to do that today. Once I go through every cc/mod in s4s, im going to make sub folders and organize them so I have less clutter.

I have a new question, if you can help - I’ve made some cc/mods for a specific age available to other ages but they’re all messed up and the body parts are missing and the cc/mods don’t show up properly. What am I doing wrong?? your problem was caused by Onedrive sync. You have two Documents on your computer. The path in s4s settings leads to the wrong one, not the one the game is using

My changes are also not showing up! I went through to change where I wanted cc to show up in my game (ie some pajama items were tagged as everyday and cold weather and I just wanted them to be in sleep) so I changed the tags and saved, but when I go into cas, it's still showing up in everyday. Here's what I've tried: 1. Made sure changes were saved 2. Deleted localthumbnailcache before making any changes in S4S and before launching the game 3. Checked (and deleted) all duplicates via Mod Manager 4. Redownloaded S4S (currently running Aurora) 5. Restarted my game 6. Turned mods off in my game, reloaded and turned back on 7. Restarted Computer 8. Made edits from both the "My Projects" option and the "My CC" option
Current operating system is Mac Ventura 13.4.1
I have a flash drive to help save computer storage, and my game as well as Mod Manager and S4S are currently on the flash drive, but my documents folder with all of the mods and files and everything is on the computer drive. I have never had issues with them being in different locations before once I made the paths right. I also tried moving S4S onto my computer's drive but it didn't change anything.
I've made changes to furniture cc like removing footprints before and those changes always showed up.
What else should I try?

Yes. Whenever I change the rules for other outfits, like trying to get pajamas out of swimwear, it works fine. It's just trying to toggle items off for everyday that I can't do. Is that some Sims coding getting in the way?

Is that some Sims coding getting in the way? It seems that everything appears in Everyday, so probably no way of changing it
