Hello, can someone help me with this problem.
So I made a full body clothing CC and everything works fine in CAS, works fine ingame when playing and interacting with other sims.
The problem occurs when I zoom out & it seems when the game tries to load the LOD1 it crashes. Tried with other clothing it doesn't crash, it only crash when the sims wear the CC.
I'm using yfBody_EF18JacketSkirtLong as the base. When making the LOD1-3 what I do is: 1. delete the LOD0 maxis body that is part of my meshgroup (hand & neck) 2. reduce my polycount by removing & collapsing edges. 3. append top mesh of corresponding LOD from the original yfBody_EF18JacketSkirtLong LOD 4. delete top mesh poly that is hidden by clothing, leaving only the hand and neck. 5. join the body to the corresponding meshgroup, check the cut number. 6. save blend & import to package.
I've tried creating a new clean package & importing everything again, still crashes when zooming out. This is the first time it ever happen, made a couple other CC & never encountered something like this. I hope someone can help me with this. Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: Since the problem is solved, I deleted the package file.

Hey! Your package file seems fo be broken permamently, cause no matter what I import on lod_1 it crash, so you need to create new one. As for your problem, I see you have face & eyes weights on your mesh which should not be there. Join back your mesh, delete all weights and import them again from some full body outfit. You can delete body parts and reimport them from nude top so you do not mess their weights with transfer. Then use Clean (All Groups) and Limit Total (Limit to 4) options in weights menu and cut your mesh back into proper meshgroups You can import your lod_1 to LOD_0 so you can check if it crash in cas, cause it takes way more time to go in game. Then if it works in cas check in game

I got a question for making the other LOD, what is the preferred method? 1. open my custom lod 1 mesh, append maxis lod1 (just need the top), delete unnecesarry poly on the top, then join the mesh or 2. open maxis lod1, append my custom lod 1 mesh, redo all the weight transfer & all the step like in lod 0
Edit: Tried importing my LOD1 to LOD0 & check in CAS, it immediately crash. Using new package is the same, something is definitely wrong with my LOD1 mesh.

You need to repair your LODs first and then create new package and import them. As soon as you import broken blend file your package gets immediately permamently broken too and nothing is going to repair it. If you imported repaired mesh and it still crashes you need to create new package. Still crashes? Again new one till it does not crash anymore. Do not import any textures or anything else, only your mesh and test it. I would open your LOD_1, join all cuts and then delete all weights, delete body parts, remove doubles, append reference to transfer weights from and transfer them, clean & limit total, delete reference, append maxis body top, remove doubles and delete all not needed parts then join to your mesh, edge split your mesh where needed and cut into proper meshgroups.

Hi, after following your instruction the package finally works great, no more crashing. Thank you so much Learned a lot from making this CC & will certainly apply it to my next project.
