Thanks so much for this! I've had great success recolouring the anti-goblin bed for children, I've added a variety of kids' patterns to the bedding but I was wondering if there was a way to add swatches to my standalone recolour? I have quite a few different patterns I want to replace the bedding with and it seems a bit silly for me to have dozens of the same bed in the buy catalog just with different bedding styles.

Just open your package back up ashleighanne and add more swatches, if Im understanding your question right.

Just open your package back up ashleighanne and add more swatches, if Im understanding your question right. Yes, I'm normally able to do that with other things I've recoloured (this is my first object recolour but I've recoloured CAS parts before) but it doesn't appear as if there's any option to add swatches, only to remove them. The swatches in the screenshot I've provided are the original swatches that the object had to begin with and I recoloured those but couldn't seem to find an option to add any new swatches to my package file.

You are using an old version of s4s, the newer ones have the ad swatch option sims4studio.com/thread/562/sims-studio-joy-open-betaBy default it only brings in one swatch, if you want all the swatches you have to select "selective clone" to get all of them (make sure all swatches are ticked in the window that pops up after you select your mesh)

The latest version of Studio Joy (2.5.1.7) brings in all swatches by default if you choose Standalone Recolor under the Object button.

Oh thank you for the help! I'll download the newest version and see if I can add some more recolours. This site is great for tutorials and help, thanks so much. I wouldn't be able to make anything at all if it wasn't for this place, I'm very much a beginner creator.

So I'm trying to recolor objects for the first time using this tutorial. When I try placing the file in my mods folder and testing it in the game it says I'm missing the footprint. What do I need to do to make it work?
Ok I guess I needed to upgrade Sims 4 Studio. My first recolor was a success. Thank you for making the tool. I like it a lot. Reminds me of the Sims 2 Bodyshop.

If you're recoloring custom content you will need the item you're recoloring to be in your mods folder for it to show up. I'm glad you got it working
