I haven't seen a post about this yet and it's something I can't get my head around. I want to add a bow to the center of the sims' chest, however I can't seem to avoid this distortion: here's the .package: drive.google.com/file/d/1C0DxOR3YPco-HBapLceJSr68HjuERdmx/view?usp=sharingi'm just wondering if it's bones, uv_1s or something else entirely? and how to fix it so that it moves smoothly no matter the sims' weight.

Hey! I retransfered uv_1 and weights from your dress to bow only (Also used Clean (All Groups) and Limit Total (Limit to 4) options after transfering weights) and it move a bit more smooth, so you can try doing this. Anything in breast area will always move a bit weird because of how sliders works here, you can always try to select only bow and change it's shape to more narrow or make it smaller in uv_1 and test in game if result satisfies you

You can also vertex paint the breast area with 3FFF00 and smooth the transition but, as Dissia said, that will be as good as it can get because breasts expand toward each other and the bow does with them Here is what it looks like after re-transferred weights, uv_1 and vertex painted with 3FFF00

mauvemorn dissia thank you both so much! so i did those 3 things and it's still giving me the same result. cleaning all groups and limiting the weights helped a little bit but it's still moving very weirdly, especially when moving the chest up and down. Pics: i.imgur.com/rA4SPJU.pngi.imgur.com/hTyZQRS.pngand here's what the weights look like: i.imgur.com/89buQCc.pngi.imgur.com/D5d78HR.pngcould you maybe post a pic of what the weights/uv_1 looked like when you did it, or was it the same for you? should i just give up hope for my chest-bow? lol

it looks like the item does not move with the breast bones separate the bow again and re-transfer the data from the dress, making sure all the settings are just like this then join them back, select the breast area paint it with 3FFF00. Here is an example of how to paint with multiple colors Vertex paint dictates what variation (skin-tight and robe-like) of deformation maps the painted area will deform according to in CAS during body customization and animation. 00FF00 is for skint-tight areas, 3FFF00 is for any skirt-like area ( skirts, bottom parts of dresses, coats, aprons, etc). Start by choosing 00FF00 and Paint - Set vertex color 1). Disable Limit selection to visible; 2). Holding Ctrl, lasso-select the bottom part of the mesh starting somewhere in the middle of the pelvic bone; 3). Enable sync; 4). Press B and deselect legs; 5). Switch to Vertex paint and enable Face selection masking for painting; 6). Type in 3FFF00; 7). Paint - Set vertex colors; 8). Press A twice to deselect and select everything again, Paint - Smooth vertex colors
If none of it will work, share the blend please

You need to do Clean with All groups and Limit total. No need to re-transfer anything, just do these two steps
