Hi. Things you should never do:
- delete meshgroups in the warehouse. It disrupts the structure of the package;
- use a package with the adult rig inside for children. It often leads to crossed arms in-game. Instead of reusing the original, clone a similar item for children. Since the arms did not cross, you could have re-used the original, but now the weights and the structure is messed up, the mesh is split differently, so those things need to be re-done anyway;
- disregard how and why the mesh is split in the package.
If you would rather reshape the dress again, do this:
- clone the original dress again, change the age tag, export the blend;
- open it, save under a different name;
- join all meshgroups, select everything with A, Select - select boundary loops, Mesh - edges - mark sharp;
- select everything, remove doubles;
- reshape to fit the rig;
- delete the breast bones only and normalize weights;
- delete and replace the body parts;
- split those edges that need to be shaded as sharp;
- save the blend, open the one you exported from the package, hide all original meshgroups, append the joined one into the scene;
- unhide one meshgroup at the time. Separate the same area from your mesh and give it the same cut. Delete the original meshgroup;
- once the mesh is split and all original meshgroups are deleted, save the blend and import it back into the latest cloned package, not the one you shared.
If you would rather re-do the weights:
- clone cfBody_EF18DressPleated, export the blend, open, join all meshgroups, rename to "reference", save, close;
- open your blend, select all three meshgroups, join them;
- select this, um, collar and separate it;
- select the arm and one row of faces on the neck, delete;
- delete all vertex groups from the dress only, not the collar;
- append the reference into the scene;
- transfer the weights from the reference to the dress only;
- delete the reference;
- join the collar with the dress;
- add the arms and the piece of the neck;
- select the whole mesh and remove doubles;
- delete the breast bones ( they are still on the collar);
- split the mesh is places where it needs to be shaded sharp;
- assign 0000 cut to the mesh, save;
- clone cfBody_TowelPlush, import the blend there
