Hi. We would need to see the file to know what exactly is going on in there, but you can try splitting that edge loop around the collar

Lately, I've been converting Sims 3 stuff to Sims Medieval (TSM needs some love!) and encountered this very problem in another creator's mesh I was working with. If you've got this problem and you can't split the edge (splitting the edge makes the edge sharp and you may not want that) put the mesh into edit mode and examine those areas. You'll find that there are vertices that hit a dead end and aren't connected to another vertex. Here's a screenshot:  The solution is to either select the disconnected edge, press X > dissolve edges, or put the mesh in vertex select mode, shift-select two vertices, then press J to make a new edge between the vertices. Sometimes shadows can appear simply because you need to remove doubles. In other words, you have a split edge where you don't want it (as described above). In edit mode, select what you want to merge, then press alt + M > by distance. If you're using an older version of Blender (pre 2.8) press W and choose Remove Doubles. If you need to just merge two vertices alt + M works for older and newer versions of Blender. |
