Need help with the scale tool in blender 2.76. Hi!
When I schrink a mesh with the regular scale or transformation manipulation scale tool in the bottom line while in object mode, I can see the dimension on the right hand window, but when I'm in edit mode and use the scale or transformation manipulation scale tool for only part of the mesh like a curtain without the rod, I can never see the dimensions anywhere. Is there a way to see that also while in edit mode? That would be very helpful for two curtains left and right without trial and error.

I am not exactly sure what you mean, are you able to provide a photo? If you want the dimensions to show or the properties window that shows the dimensions on the right side like what you talked about, while in Blender press N on your keyboard and it should pull up the properties menu/window. -- You can also go into view on the bottom toolbar and press the properties option.

Hi JoseonJubu - thanks for your reply. I'm talking about when I'm in edit mode to shrink part of the mesh like in my case a curtain. I will try to explain as good as posible: THe curtain has a rod and the curtain. So I just want to scale down a left side curtain without the rod. I press C on my key board and highlight just the curtain without the rod. Then I click on Scale in the upper left window or I use the transformation manipulation scale tool in the botoom line next to the little arrow and rotate tab to make it thinner. However, when in edit mode there is no visibility of the scale or dimension in the right hand window for me to see how much I scaled it, so I could just use the data for the next left side curtain. I only see those Scale/Dimenstion when in object mode, but that does not help because it only shows the size of the whole curtain with the rod. I need to see the size of the manipulated results only from the curtain in edit mode. I don't know how to better explain it. It would be much easier if I could just mirror the whole curtain once I'm done to use for the right side, but not sure if it is possible to do so and if so, how. :(

Hi. When you press S and start scaling, the panel at the bottom shows by how much the selection is shrinking or expanding. When you confirm the transformations, you see the final number in the Tools panel. You can modify or remember it. Alternatively, you can just type S (to scale) X (horizontally) 0.5 (by half, choose any value from 0 to .999) this is the example of where the values are that I found in my history. This is the panel, the value will have a different name

Not a blender genius, but I found what I needed. The results of my manipulation are in the Vector pannel on the left side! in blender 2.76. Geeez, and I was always trying to see my results in the right pannel. Never saw the Vector thing because I didn't scroll down enough lol. Well, I'm learning Tanks guys for trying to help. Just to Mirror someting would still be much easier. I already tried but the results were not pleasant. Probably did it wrong...
