Hello. I am not new to the Sims 4 but, I am new to modding. I am just recoloring things in my game. What I would like to know is how can I edit the exterior columns? I would like to recolor them but I dont know what they are called in the catalog. I cant find them.
Thank you in advance for your help. Have a good day. MswishSim

Hi. I'm not sure if this is what you need but qolygonal made a tutorial about columns. Unfortunately, the tutorial is old and, even more unfortunately, qolygonal has been affected by the war in Ukraine and I don't think she's been online in a while; there isn't likely to be an update any time soon. But the link to the tutorial can be found on Wayback Machine. The link to the files no longer works but I have a video that explains how to clone build items here. It shows how to clone a fence but you would want to clone a "spandrel," instead. I think you may be able to use TSRWorkshop but if memory serves package files made with TSRW can't be opened with Studio. Edit: I just reread your post and it's a recolor you want to do? I would think that recoloring a column would be the same process as any other recolor except that you can't clone a column from the catalog. You have to do the workaround shown in the video I linked and create a package file that way. If you're doing an override, the instance numbers for the meshes and textures have to match the game's instance numbers. Otherwise, just make a custom package like the video shows. Also, turns out there is a "column" section in the game file cruiser in addition to "spandrel."
