Hello everybody, I am trying to convert an interactive object into a CAS accessory (in the Rings category) for poses, but am having trouble with the UV map/texture being too pixellated and low res. I followed this tutorial on how to convert the object: Everything worked great besides the UV/texture issue. I was successfully able to convert the mesh and attach it to my sim's hand bone. The mesh looks great in S4S and in game and functions properly. But the texture looks truly awful and nothing I've tried will fix it. Many frustrating google searches have not helped me find an answer. I tried increasing the UV map size to 2048 x 4096, nothing. I tried using a much higher quality image to replace the texture that came with the object, nothing. I am using Blender 2.7, S4S Wishes 3.1.6.0, and GIMP 2.10.32 (revision 1). Sims 4 is up to date. I must be making a very basic newbie mistake, but I have found no answers. Any help would be much appreciated! Screenshots of the issue: - the original object in S4S (looks great!) - my converted accessory (texture ruined!)

Hi. The biggest space for an accessory is the hat area, so this is the one you can use The ability to use external textures for cas items was added recently and s4s cannot yet create those packages

So, I can have the accessory attached to the hand bone while still categorising it as a hat? I assumed the position on the UV map needed to match the attachment on the sim body mesh, but perhaps not.
Good to know about external textures.

Yes, it does not matter. If the item has uvs in the hat area, it will conflict with other items that have uvs there. In that sense, it does not matter what category the items belong to or what bones they are assigned to, it’s just a matter of where uvs are
