Hello Im sorry for posting what is most likely asked before, but with my limited experience with the terms I was unable to find what I was looking for. I have changed a lot of existing Tuning-XML files, however they still have the current values from the Tuning files that I opened: <I c="LootActions" i="action" m="interactions.utils.loot" n="loot_VampireDrinkDeeply" s="151772">
To make my mod work as a new, standalone interaction without interfering with the current ones that I am currently overriding, I imagine I will have to replace the "loot_VampireDrinkDeeply" and "151772" to something of my own, and all the references where they are used. When I say "ID" in the title, the 151772 value is the one I mean in this case. I don't know if its referred to as ID or something else. Are there any guidelines on what ID/number I can replace these things with? Here are my main questions: - Is this number unique for every single tuning thing? Or can a buff and an interaction have the same ID?
- Is there a max value for this?
- Is there a "best practice" on choosing my new IDs to at least give my best efforts not to override with other, famous mods?
Let me know if it sounds like I am misunderstanding the concept! Thanks in advance

1. Yes, must be all unique when working with tuning. The only times when something has the same instance (not tuning ID) is usually for stuff like build/buy or CAS resources to connect them. 2. There is I think, but can't remember the details. The people I do know of who can answer that don't visit the forums, but are in my creator help server linked in my signature if you're extremely curious (and would like to engage with other modders). 3. Tutorial on how to make unique files: www.patreon.com/posts/how-to-start-38023976 Best practice is always created by using CreatorName:ModName_FileName_AnyExtraInfo. You can also always switch it around, but as long as it has your creator name, mod name, file name, and extra details to make it unique you should be good with never conflicting. My current method is MizoreYukii:FileType_ModName_BaseFileName_ExtraInfoForThatFile

Thanks a lot for this tutorial! It answered my question and many other things I was wondering about I will leave all IDs to the hash generator and do my file naming accordingly as well, and pay attention to the few exceptions where this number ID will be too large.
