Hello S4S community, First I'd like to say that I'm really new making CC, the little I've learned has been through YouTube tutorials and tips from friends who can help at times. I've recently embarked on a mission to recreate several historical accurate Military Uniforms. The idea for this current uniform I'm making is to recreate the Royal Air Force and for the pilot uniforms they have a small emblem called Pilot Wings. I created the mesh in Blender for the wings, followed all the process of uv_0, uv_1, transferred the data, did the weight transfer too but the results were just a floaty wings in CAS and in some cases when the body weight or muscles were modified it distorted the wings. I've read a lot of things on this forum and still feel lost. This was the result in Sims 4 Studio In game it looks like this. I did everything on Blender 3.6. Could this be the issue? I've decided to redo everything in Blender 2.79 to give this another try if anyone has any tips or something please let me know

Hi, have you apply vertex color to the emblem? And can you share the package & blender file so others can check the problem.

Hi I'm doing one last attempt to see if it the results vary but about the vortex color, how do I do this? Do I set any colour? I watched a tutorial where they used the colour picker to pick a colour on the body but my body is in solid mode and everything is white. If this test fails I will upload the blend file. Thanks for the suggestion on vortex color UPDATE: Okay the wings are no longer floating only it clips a little Any tips what to do here? or did I make a mistake? UPDATE #2: It seems it's now working! Managed to fix the clipping Still curious about the Vortex Colour. If anyone could explain how it works it would be amazing!!

Hi. Vertex color is responsible for morphing. The mesh was flying because it was not rigged. You need to transfer weights, uv_1 and vertex paint from this outfit to the broach. It can be done in blender 3.6: weights, uv_1, vertex paintIn older blender you do it like this: weights, uv_1, vertex paint

Just adding here, maybe you already figured this out but to see the vertex paint you need to be in wireframe mode (press z in older Blender). For the vertex paint itself just like mauvemorn said it's easier to just transfer in from existing maxis mesh. If you want to see what vertex paint maxis use you can open maxis object or I usually use this as reference voidfeathersims.blogspot.com/2018/11/tutorial-sims-4-vertex-painting-colors.html
