Hi, i think the problem is in the weight painting. To get better weight painting you should transfer the weight from similar looking maxis skirt. Try to start a new package with the denim mini skirt or the pleated mini skirt, not the underwear since it behaves differently when moving. Transfer the weight from the mini skirt to your model. Now for the model itself try reducing the polycount, 8000 poly is way to much for a mini skirt. See how many polygon maxis uses in their mini skirt, try going around that polycount. When i check the model the leg & waist part have overlapping polygon, maybe you accidentally copy them twice. Select the overlapping polygon & delete it. For body part that is covered by the skirt (the pelvis area) just delete it. For the dangling string on the side, I suggest making it shorter to above the knee so it doesn't look too weird when it's moving.

Hi. The mesh is unwrapped badly in uv_0, which is where your problem comes from. If this mesh came with uvs, go back to it, you have to re-make everything anyway because the garment received the data from an underwear instead of a skirt. Clone a skirt of similar length (yfBottom_SkirtMiniDenim), export the blend, import your skirt there. Close and unwrap holes. Transfer weights, uv_1, vertex paint from a maxis skirt. Duplicate the lower body from the rig, delete the area of it covered by the skirt, join with the skirt. Arrange the uvs in uv_0 correctly. Split the mesh the same way yfBottom_SkirtMiniDenim is split, import into the package, test in-game. Then bake textures and make lods

Where does this skirt come from? From another game? Another program? Did you make it from scratch? If it is the first two options, it should already be unwrapped properly, you just need to import it from the original file instead of appending from this blend. If it is the last option, you need to re-unwrap the mesh properly by marking seams

create seams in places where they exist on a real life skirt, then unwrap it

that helped ty! unfortunately i run into more issues like uv problems with the pleats, high poly count, when i try it with boots of a certain height the skirt just completely vanishes, etc i guess i will have to redo it from scratch when im more skilled i think i bit more than i can chew on this one xD

The skirt vanishes because of the choice of the item to start the package. If yours has one meshgroup, you clone a skirt made of one meshgroup. I just checked and, yeah, I did not edit the name of the item I suggested you to clone, so my apologies. It was meant to be a short skirt with polka dots. If you have a beta version of s4s, you can filter the skirts by the number of meshgroups
