Hi. We would need to see the blend file to know what exactly the hair is expected to look like. Without that, the only thing i can say is that you will not be able to make an authentic looking maxis match hair with curves and re-used textures since this is not how ts4 developers ( or most popular MM creators) do that. You can try using a better and bigger hair strand texture, while taking into the account the placement of highlights and shadows on it.

Hi. Jennisims used to have some nice hair textures. They're gone now but I have them here, if you're interested. They're very pretty. This tutorial shows how to make hair textures in Photoshop. But, a lot of creators bake textures in Blender or other 3D modeling software, which isn't something I know how to do. Edit: I should add that baking hair textures in Blender involve messing with the particles system. If you want to see how your textures look on your mesh in Blender. Do this: This way, you can make adjustments to your UV islands and see how the texture is affected. If none of this helps you or isn't what you're asking about disregard my post.
