Doors from S4S - HELP! PLZ!

So i've tried looking in other threads and videos out there and haven't found a solution to my problem. I did a very simple recolour of a door, (literally just adding a sign on the on the door), and when i try to place it on a wall in-game it shows the frame of the door but not the door itself. If I move it away from the wall I can see the door perfectly but obviously that doesnt help me. I dont need a floating invisible door lol. In live mode the door is functional still (though you cant see it?). But you can't actually see into the next room. It's like a door opens and there's a wall and the sim walks through that weird wall in between. 

ALSO, lil update, if I enlarge the door (size it up) it works and shows properly. But man i dont want a giant door lol. 

The first thing i found online was to "fix doors and windows from batuu patch" did that...and same issue. I don't understand what the issue is and and can't find a solution anywhere.
