I am brand new to modding and I have been attempting to make debug items into functional tents. For example, I want to see if it's possible to make the debug trailers that come with the Werewolves pack to act as functional tents. Now since I am brand new to all this, I figured it'd be easier to start somewhere else, with something that looks like an actual tent. The western deco prop tent that came with Get Famous to be exact.
While messing around in Sims 4 Studio and watching basic modding tutorials on YouTube, I came across a tutorial for Object Tuning. In short, I was able to change the object tuning to that of the small function tent. However, when testing in game selecting "Sleep" or any of the other options, my sim just waves their hand around and is unable to interact with the new tent.
Is this a footprint issue? Or something else? I would really appreciate any sort of help with this.

You'd need to make sure the tent has weights assigned. I took a look at one of the game's tents and I noticed the mesh has some sort of flat plane inside. I don't know what that's for. Anyway, you can transfer weights the same way you would for CAS items. Here's a screenshot for Blender 2.78. Here's a screenshot for Blender 3.3 You may need to use the clean function for versions of Blender in the 3.0 range other than 3.3, but I'm not sure about that. If I remember correctly, the newest version of Blender that works with Studio does require the clean function.
