Hi! S4S automatically creates 'shared' normal maps and specular maps for all swatches, but I'm wondering how can I create an object that has different specular maps or normal maps for different swatches. For example, if I wanted to create an object with some glossy swatches and some matte swatches.
Normally I see other cc creators make multiple objects for each version, but I think this should be possible without having to create multiple packages?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I thought about doing this once but never actually tried it so I can't tell you if it would work. Conceivably you'd need to add another specular resource in the warehouse section and hash a new instance number for it. Then you'd need to go into the materials section, add another specular entry, and give it the proper group, instance, and type number. The model and model LOD resources hold the information for the materials. I'm assuming you know how to access the materials window. If not, let me know and I'll walk you through it.

I think I mostly understand the steps you've outlined, but it sounds like it might be more trouble than just simply making separate packages. I guess that's why other creators do it that way...
