This issue has prevented me from finishing cc for months now, does anyone know how to texture bake the scalp and hair together for shaved hairstyles? I'm trying to get something akin to this: I have tried looking for tutorials everywhere and even using tutorials similar to what I'm looking for but I have had no luck, This is my last hope, can anyone guide me through how to do this? I'm so lost. CC hair linkScalp mesh linkAnything is appreciated, if I didnt explain my issue well please tell me so and i'll try to explain in more detail.

Hi. The obj file of the scalp comes without the texture. What do you want it to be exactly? Do you want to re-use a maxis texture?

Didn't realize that oops, but yeah basically I want to bake the shaved part of the CC hair I posted above to the scalp so that it won't clip through the head with certain head shapes. I can try and get the skin texture on the scalp but mainly what I need to know is how to make the shaved hair and scalp into one texture, preferably placed on the scalp mesh.

Like how the shaved part of the Maxis hair I posted an image of is also connected to some scalp mesh and texture, just for context, I don't know if I'm explaining this well here.

- separate the scalp from the hair; - select the scalp, create a new material, assign it to the whole mesh in edit mode; - enable transparency, change alpha to 0; - in texture tab create a new one, choose fade.png as an image, enable alpha; - expand the rig, make head_2 selectable, select it; - switch to the material tab, enable transparency, and change Alpha to 0; - select the scalp, shift select head_2, switch to Edit mode, in uv editor create a new 1024X2048 image; - switch to the render tab, expand Bake menu, choose Textures in bake mode, enable Selected to Active, change Distance to 0,03, Margin to 7, Bake; - save the image, add it to your diffuse

Followed this from start to finish but Blender gives me an error, " no objects or images found to bake to", what am I doing wrong?

After shift-selecting the head_2, switch to edit mode, select all uvs, create a new image. It will bake the texture to this image

To clarify the beginning: - open the blend file you shared; - select your hair; - in edit mode select the scalp area of the hair; - P - Selection; - rename the separated mesh to Scalp for convenience Then rebake the texture from this scalp to the head_2

Hmm, doesn't seem to be working, I do have an updated file though with the scalp and top hair already separated if maybe it'll be an easier process here, as when I try with the latter the texture just, does not show up on head 2. link

Okay so I figured out how to bake the texture properly, but the mesh is all messed up no matter what I try, what did I do wrong? ImagePackageblend

- download this file specifically; - open the blend, select hair_low_F__M_TeamColor.000, in edit mode select the scalp, Delete - Faces; - do the same for other two meshes; - make sure all meshgroups of the hair are visible, save the blend, import it into the package; - save and import this image into the package
