Hi. When you adjust the opacity of the garment's texture, the skin texture shows up underneath.
For nothing to appear instead, you need to put uvs where the skin texture has nothing
Right now uvs are in the space where the skin texture has ... the skin texture, lol
unrelated to the problem at hand:
- the dress is not vertex painted, you need to transfer it from the reference;
- in the future, choose a reference that is of the same length or a bit longer. You can see that the dress sampled a bit of the data from the legs instead;
- do not use MD's automatic retopology tool, it only makes things worse;
- the most complex maxis items rarely go past 10tris, yours has 25K. If the pattern has no fine details to preserve, there is no need in lowering the particle distance. Same goes for the hear-shaped accessory and buttons, no reason for them to be this high poly;
- unless intentional, everything that is not visible should be deleted, whether it is body or other garments ( i mean shorts );
- bigger uv islands = better texture quality. In the future, split big patterns into a few to utilize the space more efficiently ;
- and you must have already understood that it is best to not make clothing with loose sleeves/collars in the armpit area
