I have been finishing a bunch of WIP meshes and I am almost completely done with the earmuffs. They look okay in both blender and the S4S viewing screen, but when I get into the game, there is a weird pattern after I added colors other than white. Package fileBlender file MISC Info:1. S4S version: 3.2.0.3 (Star) 2. Blender version: 3.3.2 3. Issue: Earmuffs look different in-game. ----- ----- This is how it's supposed to look like (taken in blender in S4S): And this is how it looks like in CAS (with the saturated swatches): Thank you in advance for whoever possibly ends up helping!

Hi, it seems like you don't have any specular mask map. The shiny part on the earmuff is probably specular info from other cas part. Try adding a specular mask map. The normal map is still using the original mesh normal map, try removing it or replace it with a blank normal map.

Hello! I’ve done both those things beforehand and the issue unfortunately hasn’t gone away :(
I believe the specular mask is just blank unless I’m wrong— I used a resource pack of blank maps from another studio member. Whenever I use it for my other meshes, the specular is completely gone and there are no other artifacts like now. I’m really confused ;;

Hi, I tweak with the file a bit n got this What I did is: 1. use empty spec map 2. delete the normal map 3. transfer uv_1 from the head to the ear muffs 4. vertex paint the earmuff with #007f00

Hello! The white version normally looks fine in-game, but the color swatches are the issue, which is what I think is so strange.
Could you send a link to the package so I can experiment and see in depth what you did differently? Also, may I ask where you found the empty specular map?
Thank you so much for the help so far, I really appreciate it 💛

I tested the other color & it looks fine, I just took the screenshot on the white one. White color is usually brighter ingame so it sometimes hide some error.
At first I thought it was only the specular mask, but after further testing I think it's because the uv_1 is not layout correctly. I made the blank specular mask myself by looking at maxis map.

It is fixed, thank you so much! Can I ask how the UV_1 map is supposed to be laid out?
I was following a tutorial regarding it and thought I was doing it right :( I would like to know the mistake I made so I could correct it next time if you would be so kind.

Hi. The whole body is unwrapped like this However, you do not need to put thoughts in it. Simply transfer it from an item that has the area yours covers and youre done. Your muffs cover a specific area of the head, so you can transfer uv_1 either from the head or from other muffs ( if there are any among maxis items )

Just like mauvemorn said, just transfer the uv_1 from whatever cas object or body part that is closest to the shape your making. I believe the forum have a tutorial on how to transfer uv_1. Good luck on your future projects
