Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me with a possibly very obvious and already asked question. For example if I recolour the Schnapple Microwave it sparkles. Can I then upload to my google drive and give it to other people so they can have a sparkly blue microwave. Have I in some way broken an EA copyright law about using their product?
Would I have to go to mesh ie blender build a block, colour it and make it look like a microwave and then install it? Well I am hopeless with mesh!
Many thanks Andrea

Hi. Recolors are fine, they cannot be used without the mesh, so you’re breaking no rules.
If you recolored a pack item, only people who own the pack would be able to use it. If it’s a base game item, then everybody can use it. if it’s a cc item, then people would need to have the original as well. If you were to take the sims 4 gaming assets and convert them to, say, second life, that would be considered piracy. Same goes for making pack items base game compatible. If you were to put any The Sims 4 cc behind a paywall, that would be a violation as well That said, they do not police what people do with gaming assets, only with the game itself (as in, cannot resell it)
