"STYLE" Flags in CAS Categories - What do they affect?

Hey:) I'm fixing the categories on my CC so I can allow more of my collection for random. It hasn't been too difficult, but the "style" section of the categories tab (the one that starts with Arts Quarter, Bohemian, Business etc...) has been VERY tedious. 

I'm mostly wondering what they actually affect/inform. If I skip the Style section entirely, will the game still spawn outfits with those CC pieces?
