I'm not 1000% sure this is the correct thread for this question but it seemed like the most suitable so I'm going with it lol
CC creators, how are you getting noticed? I've been creating for almost a year now (11 months to be exact), and I feel like I've gotten nowhere with regards to a following. What are y'all doing differently? Cause I feel like I'm doing everything I'm supposed to do. I'm consistent, I post regularly to all my platforms (Patreon, CF, The Sims Resource, Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook) and I interact with other people's stuff. And whilst I have got somewhat of a following, most of my posts seem to fall flat. I've personally messaged CC finds blogs but I (understandably) get ignored. Simsfinds has reposted some of my stuff in the past but I'm unsuccessful in trying to get them to see my newer items. I'm fairly certain they only saw my stuff at the time that MaxisMatchCCfinds was reblogging my posts but they've been on a break for a while now. I know there is an influx if new CC daily and the notability is obviously dominated by creators who have been here since the beginning. But that can't mean it's useless for newer creators to even try..
What can I realistically do to get my CC seen by more people?

Hi. The path to notability looks something like this: 1. pick a popular category; 2. make frequent releases on tumblr ( not patreon, no waiting, no paywalls ); 3. get attention from simsdom and other major cc finds type of blogs that will bring you traffic; 4. either monetize traffic with google adsense or monetize your following with early access patreon. This is how creators back in the days did it
As you see, you (and most other new creators) approached this in the reversed way, which prevented you from getting enough attention to monetize. Patreon does not work well with cc find blogs. When they see you post something, it should be available for download right away, otherwise they may not reblog it. By the time it becomes available, they will forget or not see it again. If they do end up posting you, its to your patreon directly. There people will be less likely to scroll your page
Also, the choice of content to create is not the most in demand.
It is pretty useless to post on tsr, though. People do not need to visit your website to download it, so they won’t. You get no followers, no traffic, nothing. It takes a lot of time to become their paid creator and they dont make much.
I don’t think other social medias are particularly useful since people do not use them from computers, generally
My only advice is to start making more popular content like maxis match hair ( edits or frankenmeshes, do not make it from scratch ) You could also make conversion packs ( converting a few outfits from adults or kids to toddlers and infants )

Mauvemorn, sorry for the thread hijack but I'm like the OP. Of course, my biggest problem is that I'm not very productive (health issues get in the way) so I don't put out stuff often enough. But, my stuff gets no attention, either. I appreciate your advice. I do have a question for you. This statement:
"...maxis match hair (edits or frankenmeshes, do not make it from scratch)."
What do you mean by this? Why not make things from scratch?

But, my stuff gets no attention, either. I appreciate your advice. I do have a question for you. This statement: "...maxis match hair (edits or frankenmeshes, do not make it from scratch)." What do you mean by this? Why not make things from scratch? Because it takes a lot of time to make something from scratch. To release a lot of content, you need to choose something that is easy and fast to make. Hair edits are the perfect choice for this: easy to learn and make, fast to do, popular among people
If you do want to make something from scratch, its best to go with furniture packs. You find a nice interior on the internet, make most pieces from it in the maxis-match style, release a few packs per month. Like, it does not take long to make a table, which can be a center piece. You dont have to make every single thing in the pack completely from scratch since there are so many maxis items to choose from these days. You just have to release them as packs so that people would feel like its a good deal to get an entire room worth of cc in one click. And if you have patreon, 5+ cc packs per month for a price of an ice cream tub seems like a very good deal also, so they would choose you over established creators, who make 1-2 packs per month.
