Hello everyone!
I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask for help, however, I recently downloaded the latest beta version of Sims 4 Studio, and I've been encountering a problem with the logs file.
I keep getting this error message whenever I open the program:
However... I do not have an antivirus installed. 
As a matter of fact, I even have Windows Defender disabled.
I even checked the folder where the logs file is now stored and gave full access to it, instead of being on Read Only.
Please help me out, what am I doing wrong?  |

Hi. It is probably installed in a bad place. Make sure you installed everything correctly in correct locations. Check paths as well. sims4studio.com/post/192873 |

is s4s installed on C drive as well? If yes, try installing both blender and s4s on the E drive

Those were my thoughts as well. I installed everything on E drive, but I get the same error. I changed back to Wishes version, but now I notice that the... doll? Is missing whenever I try to view CAS items. Moreover, I cannot view any object when I try to make a standalone recolor. :'( and that's on both versions.

The missing avatar and nothing in catalog means wrong game path.
Is there any other The sims 4 folder in E:\Games\The Sims 4? If no, try changing it to E:\Games\The Sims 4\ and restarting. If wont help, delete Sims 4 studio folder from Documents

Okay. So, I reinstalled everything. Even Sims 4. I deleted all folders from both the game and the studio. I then installed everything on the E drive and even added "\" at the end of the path. It still displays an error regarding the logs file. The good news, however, is that I can at least revert to Wishes without a problem. So... Is it a bug or something? I have literally run out of ideas.

I would like to set this thread as solved... with a grain of salt, because I honestly have no idea how the problem got fixed by itself.  As mentioned above, I did all these steps to no avail. While waiting for troubleshooting, I kept playing around with the program; Installing it and uninstalling it. Deleting files, moving things around. Things I did before as well, but did not seem to work as I further descended into madness. Anyway, at some point good heavens from above must have pitied me and Stars is now... working. Normally. Without the logs file error. What did I do? I have no idea! I guess the solution is to keep trying, to the point of madness, expecting a change over doing the same thing over and over again. B-| Thank you for helping me out. I don't know if this is a bug or my PC simply hates me. |

Hello I have this error before
and to resolve this
I went to the \ProgramData\ folder and deleted the S4Studio folder
and as soon as I opened the tool again there was no more problem

I can confirm that deleting S4Studio folder from ProgramData folder solved my problem after I updated Wishes version to Star. Before that, even adding an exception for Studio in Windows Defender didn't worked, only deleting a folder stated in lilithvalentine post worked. |
