I'm working on a medieval dress with a hanging belt. It's (mostly) functional at this point, but when the sim stands in certain positions, walks forward, or does anything strenuous, the dangling belt clips into the skirt mesh. Did I overdo it on the weight paint somewhere? Underdo it? How can I stop this from happening?

I've seen other creators make belts that don't clip. Maybe I can use one of those as a base. Hmm...
Question: if I have a source garment, and I want to transfer weights from only 3 segments (b__Pelvis__, b__L_ThighTwist__, b__R_ThighTwist__), but I don't want to transfer weights from anywhere else, how would I go about doing that?

Hi. Well, you could transfer them individually, but that is not very practical You should do this: - open the blend with the belt, append this dress into the scene; - transfer weights, uv_1 and vertex paint from the dress to the belt. Use Shift to select UVs as well; i.imgur.com/FzNJQvQ.jpg- clean weights, limit total; i.imgur.com/3LKKfhg.png- remove unused vertex groups using this addon radeonoff.gumroad.com/l/Gxkbp

Click on v button, choose Remove unused vertex groups, as shown in the pic
