Hi,
I am a big fan of realistic, family gameplay in the Sims, and something I think would be so lovely to have are greeting cards! There was a mod for this in the Sims 3 that I have linked for reference. I've never done a mod request before, so I'm not quite sure what people typically include in them, but I'll share some ideas I have!
Card Types:
Birthday cards:
Winterfest cards
Love Day cards
Travel cards
The following types of cards could possibly be integrated with neighborhood stories?
Announcement cards
Consolation/Sympathy cards
Congratulatory cards

- Sims could send E-Cards using the computer
- Sims could purchase/order greeting cards on the computer
- There could be multiple different designs for different holidays
- Sims could write messages (like how you give books descriptions?) on paper cards with the journaling/homework animation
- Sims can send cards to specific sims via the mailbox
- Sims can receive cards from specific sims via the mailbox
- This could also be "New Ways to Send Mail" kinda mod if regular letters were included as well! Or checks!
- It could be cool if sims had to purchase stamps with which to mail their cards
Card Types:
- Sims could send birthday cards to other sim and include simoleons or small gifts
- Sims could receive birthday cards on their birthdays, that may include simoleons or small gifts
Winterfest cards
- Sims could send Winterfest cards to specific sims
- Sims could send BATCHES of Winterfest cards to friends and family all at once
- Sims could possibly include family Winterfest photos in their cards (this would be SO awesome)
Love Day cards
- Sims could send Love Day cards to specific sims
- Sims could send Love Day cards to any sim, but the recipient's reaction (positive or negative) would depend on the romance bar
- Sims can receive Love Day cards
Travel cards
- There could be different cards for the different destination words (Sulani, Mt. Komorebi, Tartosa, Selvadorada, etc.)
- Sims could send cards to sims back home while staying in a vacation rental
The following types of cards could possibly be integrated with neighborhood stories?
Announcement cards
- A sim could send a card to friends and family to announce a pregnancy, the birth of a new baby, an engagement, a graduation, a wedding, buying their first home, etc.
- A sim could receive the same types of announcement cards from friends and family when they experience big life events
Consolation/Sympathy cards
- If a sim knows another sim whose recently lost someone, they could send that sim a sympathy card
- If a sim has recently lost someone, they may receive a sympathy card in the mail
Congratulatory cards
- If a sim knows another sim who has just graduated high school or college, they could send them a "Congrats on graduating!" card
- If a sim knows another sim who has just had a baby, they could send them a "Congrats on the baby!" card
- If a sim knows another sim who has just gotten engaged or married, they could send them a "Congrats on the engagement/wedding!" card
