Just wondering if its possible to import a better custom 3D body to the sims maybe by using the same UV map and bone assignment as the sim avatar? Is this possible and would it function properly with sliders? I’ve heard it could be possible to replace a “costume” outfit with a custom model, but I would like this to actually replace the sim, while still functioning properly with applying other cas items and even skins and cosmetics. Maybe someone will know?

Hi. Yes, but how to do it depends on what you have in mind
1. If you want it to be a default replacement, you need to split it into head, top, bottom, feet, and overwrite corresponding nude body parts 2. If you want to have that body as a costume, you need to split it into the head and the rest. To make a standalone head, clone the head package, import your blend with the head, run headfixer cheat, recategorize into something else, exclude the real head. You treat the rest like a regular outfit. 3. If the head you're using is similar to maxis one, you can create a custom preset with s4 morphmaker out of it

Thank you,
1. I would like it to literally replace the sim in this case and make it respond to all of the sliders and able to apply CAS details such as makeup, skin, tattoos and clothes like the normal avatar would typically.
2. The head/ body I’d like to use would be a custom asset made by an artist unrelated to sims. Downloaded, and from there I’d need to find a way to get the new replacement into the game. The UV maps may be different. I’m not sure where to find a “similar” head to the sim head.
However, since you’ve explained the process here, if what I said is still possible is there an appropriate forum here where I can work together with another person who’s blender savvy so it’s maps are converted for sims, rigged and imported properly?
