Custom Column mesh height collision problem

Hi everybody, 

I wanted to know if someone could point me in what im doing wrong with my custom mesh.

i created a pair of columns of the same medium wall height, but one can be placed under a roof and the other can't

Im almost sure i used the same base object to act as template and yet there is this difference.
