I'm pretty new to modding, I did some recolors and I decided to branch out into object modding. I wanted some wider chairs for my Sims in my game, and I figured the easiest way to do that would be to convert a loveseat or sofa into a living chair. I was able to do that by switching the tuning from object_seatLoveseat to object_seatLivingChair. But now I'd like to make a dining chair that snaps to tables like a standard dining chair does. First thing I tried was exporting the mesh for the outdoor bench I was going to use, then clone a dining chair and import the same bench mesh, but I got an error message saying "Your mesh s4studio_mesh_2 has a vertex group transformBone_0 that is not part of the mesh that you are replacing." I hadn't made any changes to the mesh in Blender, mostly bc I don't really know how to use Blender 😬 Second thing I tried was changing the tuning on the bench to a dining chair, and then tried copying the rig/slots from that same chair to the bench, but I've never made changes to anything like that before so I'm not sure I did it correctly. I used transform on each bone(?) and copied the position from the dining chair, I wasn't sure if I should use move or offset so I used move. When I tested it in-game the bench was offset by about half a square but the shadows were in the normal spot, and my Sim ended up sitting on one side of the bench/chair instead of in the center like when I had only adjusted the tuning. I found a previous thread that addressed something similar to what I'm trying to do but I don't even know how to compare what error I'm having and I think I might just be way in over my head. Any help would be really appreciated!
