I'm at a loss. I must be missing something but I cannot figure out why my sim's torso skin is shiny on this open-jacket CC I've made. Here's the package file

Hi. This is caused by your normal map. It does not have an alpha channel, so you must have saved it with wrong settings ( it should be BC3 or DXT5). You'll have to remake a normal map, since the alpha is already lost
That said, there is a problem with your specular. It is too big, should be half the size of the diffuse

You'll have to remake a normal map, since the alpha is already lost thank you. i figured out exactly what the issue was, i was saving the .dds with the correct settings, however before i saved i'd click the rgb channel in the channels window in photoshop so that all of the 'eye' icons on the channels were lit up. i didnt know that would make a difference in the saved result.

It shouldn’t, though. Unless it’s a bug in your version of Photoshop, that shouldn’t influence anything In the future, just work in png, it’s less troublesome. Just use layer mask instead of alpha
