Hey guys! So here's the rundown, I DID have working textures in blender when I first downloaded S4S. And I still technically do: My full problem is that in the texture viewport, the textures DO NOT appear. I get this: However, if I were to take this out of the texture viewport, and in to the Render viewport..... (Censored her nipple just in case its against forum policy lol.) So how did this happen? I downloaded the advanced rigs for WW animations, that I found here: turbodriver.itch.io/wickedwhims/devlog/139574/creating-basic-animations-in-blender-1I can't even find find who made these rigs listed as Edited rigs on the page, because it just links to the download. No one else seemed to have this problem. And it doesn't just effect these advanced rigs; it effects any S4S rig I export too, and any mesh, base game or cc. They'll all appear textureless in texture viewport, but have a texture in render. I can work around it, it just causes a lot of issues and inconveniences, and I'd really like to fix this. I reinstalled s4s studio & blender to no resolution. Also tried to do External Data > Find Missing Files and locate the bin where it says the textures should be online manually, and it also solved nothing, unless I did it wrong and someone else was able to fix it that way or a similar way. But since it can RENDER the textures, it feels like I'm not missing the textures? Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Hi. Could you share your file specifically, not the original. I, too, have no problem with it, although im viewing it in blender 2.79

This animation was made via the rig I downloaded that caused it all so be careful. www.mediafire.com/file/gibz75am9nqtf7o/Animation1.blend1/file(ignore the fact its a really bad practice animation, just starting.)

Have you tested if the "Material" setting works (it's above the "Textured" setting)?

Which Blender version are you using? (I was testing with 2.76)
Tempted to say it could be something in the material settings or something like it. Does it still happen if you import a mesh that doesn't have a texture/material, and apply a texture to it yourself?

I've never worked with things outside of pose making/animation in Blender, so I'm really not sure how to do that. If you could link a tutorial or throw some instructions, I can test it and report back?

Just a post update; I totally uninstalled Blender again and updated to 2.76, since everyone recommended that in other places I've shot my issue. I now have access to both texture and material viewports, and they're still both green. But I get better rendering performance in 2.76 so it wasn't entirely wasted to update, just still looking for solutions.

This is still ongoing, if anyone has any ideas. May try posting to a Blender focused forum for answers. :'c

Hi, tried opening the blend file you share & the texture shows up fine. I don't use Blender much but have you tried selecting the body & then re applying the texture? The file is a bit weird though, I can't collapse anything in the outliner & can't seem to find any mesh in it. Also if it's effecting other file related to sims 4 have you tried reinstalling Sims 4 Studio or maybe check the Settings & see if all the S4S folder is in the right location. This is a little out of topic but have you tried using kijiko pose helper to animate kijiko-catfood.com/pose-helper-for-sims-4-studio/The rig have IK handle for the arm & leg so you can animate easier. I personally use this one to make pose (download link in description), it has IK handle too but the downside is it doesn't have a male version.

It works fine in my case as well. Try to create a new material If wont work, get blender 4, change the path in s4s and export again

UPDATE: I have no idea what fixed it. What I did was cleanly installed S4S and Blender all at once. I ended up updating to Blender 3.6 when I reinstalled S4S studio as it was listed as one of the latest supported versions, which I am now dedicated to learn despite it wasn't my ideal move, and ended up having to play with my graphics drivers for Blender to recognize I have OpenGL, because it wouldn't recognize I had it with my onboard graphics card disabled. (Pretty sure having both my Nvidia graphics card and base graphics card operational created a very large issue in some program not sure which, but that's something I have to cross later.) I also had to reinstall the rig files. The new rig files have texture, the base rigs exported by S4S Studio has texture, but any file I used in Blender at the time continues to have no texture. That is no longer a concern of mine, as most are finished projects I'll never touch again, meaning overall... This issue is solved! I can actually see what I'm doing when I work in Blender again! Thank you to everyone who tried to help, ultimately there was no salvaging Blender 2.7 (or any early version of it) on my computer, for some reason. Probably for the best. If you need to lock or whatever this thread, it's good! I think it was a version problem ultimately, because I couldn't seem to add textures to my own objects, anyway, when I started making meshes finally. Not through any of the texture-adding spaces I saw in tutorials online. Not sure how it correlates to how my issue originally occurred, but thankful it's over. Also thanks for the animation rig recommendation, I'll definitely check it out!
