Hello,
First thanks for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it.
I've been working on some small Sims 4 mods for myself to enjoy in my spare time and trying to learn the ins an outs of modding, but I consistently run into a problem when making clothing models where the game crashes upon loading the model in CAS or in the world.
The model looks fine in Blender, I have no issues loading it into S4 Studio however as soon as the game tries to render a thumbnail image for it or tries to load the model onto a sim the game instantly crashes. I've tried looking up a few guides on how to create custom clothing and none have yielded different results, It's hard to provide images of the problem since I can't actually see the problem at all but I can provide the list of steps I took from start to finish as well as the versions of all the programs I'm using.
I'm using Blender 3.3.1, I've tried using different blender versions with the same results
I'm using S4 Studio 3.2.1.5 (Star), I've tried using older versions with the same results
I imported the new clothing model I want to mod into the game into a blender scene I had exported from S4 Studio, I edited the model to fit the proportions of the Sims 4 character base, I removed all the old weighting from the model and added a data transfer modifier to copy the weights from the dress model I was using as a base onto the custom one through Vertex Data and Nearest Vertex. Next I created a copy of the custom model and edited its UV map to fit onto the Sims 4 uv and used Cycles to bake the texture from the old UV map to the new one (I don't think this is important but I'm mentioning it in case), next I removed the old models dress and joined the objects together and used the base "bottom" and "top" mesh to make the necessary adjustments and fill any holes in the mesh and once I was happy with how it all looked and functioned I imported it into the game and it crashed as I've experienced before. I tried reading few a few forum posts on this website to try and find similar problems and after trying two solutions, namely being properly configuring the "uv_1" as well as removing any unnecessary vertex groups and still experiencing the problem I've finally given up.
The closest I could get to finding a solution was to extract my custom model from S4 Studio and make a new package with it but for whatever reason half the vertex data got deleted and left me with an extremely distorted and stretched apart model.
Here's a link to the models blender and package file:

Any and all help is appreciated!
P.S. I'm not very experienced at all with Sims 4 modding but I have been using blender for a few years now, still adjusting to newer versions as I'm use to the 2.79 interface.
