Lot with a lot of CC won't place!

I have this lot in my tray that has a large amount of CC that I don't really want to lose but when I try to place it, it says "Cannot place content because it was create with a newer version" is there a work around to this? I don't want to update my game for obvious reasons, I definitely can but I'd rather stick to this old version because of the recent events that has been happening, plus I really don't want to lose my CC. Is there a way to maybe transfer ownership to myself or something of that sort? It also doesn't make sense because I could still place lots that are much newer than this lot.. For example, I could place a lot that was made in October but I can't place a lot that was made in August...
