I saw a post on tumblr about it being possible to make only a certain part of a mesh be functional with the sliders. Which makes it possible to have the metal stay the same colour but the gems for example can be changed into any colour in CAS. How do I do this? I tried to find a discussion about it here but I don't see one.

Based on how the new texture works, all you would need to do is adjust the color shift mask texture so it covers the gem with white instead of the metal. Quick test: Test Package

Okay this answers one question I had. Is there a tutorial anywhere on this new function? I haven't seen one anywhere.
