Hi. I am fairly new to making my own CC but have a little bit of experience. But I am not skilled when it comes to editing items in the warehouse section and such. I am wanting to prevent the hair from being removed from a helmet, specifically the Equestrian EA Helmet. I know it should have to do with editing the "exclude parts flags". I thought perhaps setting the numbers to all zeros (so that instead of the default in the excludepartsflags being "0000000000000404" i changed it to all zeros, as in "0000000000000000") but this did nothing and the hair still disappears when my sim wears the helmet.
any help would be greatly appreciated! tysm!

Hi. It is controlled through regionmap In the warehouse tab choose region map, click edit entries. Then select the first entry and change regiontype to base. Change layer to 0. Select the second entry and click on remove

It does not hide hair, just conflicts with it. If this is not the case for you, make sure youre seeing the correct file Also, delete Regionmap you created ( the first in the list ) To fix the problem of textural overlapping, you need to re-arrange uvs and rebake textures

If there is a conflict would it make things look "strange" like for just an example would it cause question marks to appear or odd blocks of color all over the helmet or the sim? or something else like that. Cause if so in my game this is not the case, for me nothing at all changes or happens. I truly appreciate you trying help me with this so much. (btw when I did the recolor all i did was edit the diffuse image, i did not change anything with the mesh it's self or use blender at all)

By conflict I mean the hair textures being projected on the hat because both of them share the same place in the uv space. The question mark issue happens when the game cannot find referenced files. For example, when you cloned custom content, modified some parts of it, then remove the original from Mods folder.

Ohhh...ok, ty! In my game though the helmet looks completely normal still, and with the hair still hidden, Not like that photo. Odd.

Delete all files of the helmet you have and start the game again to make sure it is deleted. Then clone the helmet again, embed resources, edit region map and excludepartflags on all cas parts
