Hi!
1. Can someone explain me what Light type, Transform, U1-U9 are? They are located under the Light data in Warehouse What values they can accept? I found some information about U1-U3 in the thread sims4studio.com/thread/1451/light-source?page=2 and I'm looking for more detailed information.
2. What the normal and specular maps do? For example, in clothing it shows how shiny the clothing under different lighting. But what about lights who emit light themselves? And how the normal map works in that case?
3. How to perfrorm vertex paint in Blender 3.6? Can I just transfer colors in data transfer "Check Face corner data => Left click Colors => Nearest face interpolated"? Can I make some parts of my lights white and other parts black, like shown here? sims4studio.com/thread/4803/make-new-lamp-lights-correctly
Thanks

Hi. Object making is not my area of knowledge, but i can answer some of these questions
Specular imitates how the surface of an object would interact with light sources. Normal map imitates or enhances details. In objects, specular and normal maps do the same things as in CAS items They also function or are made the same way. The only difference is that objects have no specular.mask and you don’t need to crop anything.
Light emission is a very different thing from specular. Light emission is controlled through vertex paint and a source of light Transferring vertex paint from objects to other objects does not seem like a good idea unless they are of very similar shapes. You can vertex paint them pretty much the same way as in the old blender. Use black and white. The tools are in side panels.
