Hey everyone! Back on learning things through Blender, and despite scouring Google, I've once again come to a deadend: no tutorials on converting human accessories to pets, or even just making pet accessories in general. I managed to perfectly get the mesh on to the cats head, no problem. However, I'm PAINFULLY new to generating UV/texture maps. Doing it for my own build mode object was pretty easy to sort out, but I found out very quickly the UV maps for CAS items seem to be extremely strict. I uploaded the UV map generated by Blender, and the textures that came with the original object, but both cause a weird mark on the back leg of the cat model, while uploading the base UV map that came with the hat I'm editing leaves half the hat with a weird texture glitch. So I am thoroughly stumped. I included the .package with two swatches, one showcasing the issues I'm having with each UV map, and of course, the blender file that has the original party hat mesh. I'm not sure where in the process I went wrong, but any help would be so appreciated! I do know, the texture map for the human model is stuck in to the UV Editor of this rig from when I imported the hat in for conversion, not sure if that's affecting it, or how to change it to perhaps generate the party hat over the CAT model uv layout, which I think is what I need to do? I'm not sure.
Here is the file.
Thanks in advanced!
UPDATE:
In game, the issues are even worse. This may be an issue with the base mesh I chose (the hat likely already clips down the cars ears, didn't think that through, maybe I should base the package off a collar instead?) But worse, what I don't know how to tackle, is that the texture doesn't even show in game, despite showing in S4S studio, so now...I'm truly confused. Definitely think it's an issue with generating the uv maps/using uv maps meant for human cas items.
If someone knows how to mesh a cas item for pets, I think that's the solution to my problem, I just can't find a tutorial.
