I frankenmeshed this hair together the other day for adults. That one works wonderfully, cannot spot a single issue. However, when trying to convert it to children I'm having a hard time. It all looks fine in blender but in cas it flickers and glitches around the ear areas and also where the bangs meet the rest of the hair above the right temple. I did merge any straggling vertexes thinking that was the problem. I'm also doing my very best to fit the mesh to the scalp, to no avail. What is the problem here? I don't want to have to create the hair from the beginning for the younger age groups. Package file here. Use the yellow swatch in CAS, I don't have them all yet.

Hi. Vertices on the hairline do not match vertices on the scalp, use snapping to relocate them Also, when editing maxis meshes, remove doubles everywhere beside the geometry that covers the hole This will stay like this in-game as well - Remove doubles. Doing this will prevent the mesh from splitting during the shape adjustment process. Again, do not do this to Alpha hair because it is made differently. If the hole inside the hairline is not covered, in Edit mode (TAB) select the whole mesh with A, Tools - Remove doubles with Merge distance set to 0.0001. If it is covered, you should not remove the doubles along the hairline, can mess up the vertex paint. (Optionally) hide the whole head area under the rig, disable Limit selection to visible, select the vertex in the middle, Select - Select Linked to select the whole geometry, Select - Inverse to select the rest of the hair, Tools - Remove doubles with Merge distance set to 0.0001;

Thank you, you've been very helpful and I've managed to complete the creation! I didn't even know snapping existed, this makes it all much easier now
