Does anyone know what could be causing this issue ? (caps of how hair appears in blender and in game) The entire left side of the hair is partly missing from the side profile view, the right side is fine. I did make both meshes separately but the left side is essentially a copy of the right side. I'm new to making hairs so I could be missing an obvious step.

Hi. You need to flip things in this order: - duplicate and mirror; -flip normal; - select the duplicated first, then the original, then join, not the other way
Anyway, you need to select everything and Mesh - Normals - Flip normals

Hi, can you explain what 'flip normals' does exactly?

By default, geometry displays textures only on the front side, backface appears transparent. In Blender, it is possible to make it appear double-sided by disabling Backface culling, which is why you were not aware of this issue. However, blender viewport settings have no influence on s4s or ts4. By flipping normals, you change which side is the front.

Okay, thanks for the information. I tried flipping normals although it doesn't seem to have any impact. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong somehow but at least I'm aware what's probably causing it. Thanks

Switch to edit mode and select everything with A, then Mesh - Normals - Flip normals. Nothing will happen because backface culling is disabled in files created by s4s. Import the blend in s4s and you will see the change If not, share your blend
