Hi, I'm getting this error when trying to import a mesh in the large dog hat category and tested it by exporting the original mesh and importing it back without editing it.

This isn't happening when I try to import a mesh on an outfit file, just the dog hats. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. So, if i understood correctly, you’re importing the same file in packages started from different categories of items?
These packages can be made differently from each other as well

Share the blend you can’t import and the package, in which you can’t import it please

I downloaded a pair of glasses for dogs and found out that they were in the hat category because the mesh for dog hats includes a dog head as one of the meshes, not just the hat.

I realized that it wasn't an issue with the mesh I had edited once I had tested it by cloning a basic EA dog hat, then created a new CAS standalone (and repeated this test with Create 3D Mesh), exported the EA dog hat mesh, then imported the untouched EA mesh back into S4S.

Here is the package, but since I can't import anything, the package is just the EA dog hat. Here is the blend file of the original EA mesh, which doesn't import. Here is the blend file of an edited mesh, with most of the hat removed, shrunk, and hidden in the head.

The other dog hats aren't working for what I'm trying to do. Since the ears are covered by the original hat, they disappear in-game. Is there a way around that?

Also I've just checked and both pairs of CC glasses I've downloaded from different creators get the an error importing their original mesh or any others and do not have faces or their glasses in the game, only ears.

Is it okay to use their download links so that I'm not re-uploading another creator's content?

Here is one pair of dog glasses - this one actually shows up in the game with the dog head intact but I get errors in S4S, and here is the other, which has no head or glasses mesh in-game, both from TSR.

- export the blend from glasses package;
- clone adHat_EP04Cone, import the blend there;
- in the warehouse select cas part, in the search bar type in exclude, change the first field to 0, the second to 8;

- choose Region map, then Edit maps;
- select Ears entry, remove it with Remove button;
- select the second entry ( Neck? Necklace? forgot ), change it to Base and layer to 0;

- make new swatches, import maps, save

Now the issue I'm having is getting the emission map in the right place, as the eyes currently aren't glowing, and the glowing part isn't showing up elsewhere on the dog. I've tried three files, each with a 1024x1024, 1024x2048, or 2048x1024 emission map.

Here is my SFS folder with the three packages and the three emission maps.

Is the issue that there needs to be a second eye mesh in a different mesh cut in addition to the head? Because the mesh with the actual cone doesn't have the vertex groups for eyes.

And the dog head mesh won't suffice, right?

Is there a way to add vertex groups to a mesh when the original didn't so that I can use the eyes in the glasses geometry?

Do they shine with other hats? I dont know about emission, but body accessories on sims, for example, do not support normal maps that are also tied to geometry
