Hey! I'm working on a mesh that has 2 layers of clothes, the inner layer is working fine weight-wise (the red bodysuit), but the outer layer (pink mesh) is behaving weirdly: I tried to do the following: - setting vertex paint of pink mesh to 3FFF00 - reducing the weights manually over the edges of the pink mesh - transfer weights from simillar maxis meshes but it still didn't quite fix the weird weights. It should look something like this: Will appreciate any tips, thank you in advance!!

For these layers to behave identical, they must be identical. If transferring weights, uv_1 and vertex paint from the same mesh to both of them does not provide good enough result, the difference in topology is the last remaining problem. Either move them further apart from each other or do things the maxis way. Take the knife tools and cut out everything that is covered by the top layer

hi! I used the knife tool to cut out what's covered by the top layer, re-transferred weights from a better reference and it worked for me! Thanks a lot!!
