hello, i'm running into a problem that i haven't encountered since learning how to recolor cc hair. i recently reinstalled photoshop and the nvidia dds plugin, and have followed both this and this/video tutorial (since this has been on the forum before), but to no avail. for some reason, my dds file no longer saves as transparent? using the photoshop method obviously colors the entire photo but i never had the problem of it not saving transparent, so it's just coloring all of my sims body? the only part of the first tutorial i'm not following is loading mip maps since that just duplicates the texture and makes it too big for s4s.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi. When saving the image, change settings to BC3 or DXT5 (interpolated alpha) Alternatively, just work in png

Hi. When saving the image, change settings to BC3 or DXT5 (interpolated alpha) Alternatively, just work in png i've had it as interpolated alpha the whole time, which is what's confusing me. i don't know if maybe i don't have the same settings as i used to? this is what they look like right now. i'm stubborn and didn't really want to try and do all of this in png but i can try if all the settings look right edit: it doesn’t say it in that photo, but i also press “production” under compression effect

If the alpha channel is already lost, you cannot bring it back by re-saving.
