When I made walls I created 3 wall heights 768, 1024 and 1280 x 256 wide. Now with the DX11 update, the 768 (short) and 1280 (tall) wall heights are just giant question marks so I guess the game will only accept 512 or 1024 wall heights for walls now. Does anyone know a work around for this. Even if it's editing game files. I have nearly 200 sets of walls that I really don't want to have to remake :( I could just go back to DX 9 but if they are going to make the change to DX11 permanent eventually, might as well get in front of it. Forgot to add that I worked strictly with PNG files.

I fixed the issue. I resized the short wall down to 512 and the tall wall to 1024 and they work fine now.

Hi! I just found out this dx11 thing exists and i've created hundreds of walls myself too and they dont work either. Well, to be more specific, some keep working but most of them dont, have no idea why is that happening 🤔😩
My point: u said u resized the walls (512 s, 1024 t, im guessing 768 for the middle one, is that right?) but still, it means u have to remake the package anyway, right? Omg, im freeking out just to think about it 😭
Another question: this resize works also for dx9 or we'll have to make 2 versions from now on? One for the ones who remain with the old system and one for those who move on with the new updates?

You only have to fix your original wall and it's a very simple, if not tedious fix. My guess is it's your medium height that works. For me, I had the short walls at 768x256 medium was 1024x256 and tall was 1280x256. If this is how yours are then all you have to do is export the short and tall image for each swatch then resize the short one to 512x256 (it will look squishy, that's ok.) and the tall one to 1024x256. Then just import them back into to the package and save. If you use photoshop just create an action to automate the process and it will go by pretty quickly.

Yes! Exactly! I noticed that: only the (old) medium wall keep showing on the game. And yes, these r the same sizes i have for my walls. I have aaaall the psd's and original png's on a hard disc so i wont even need to export them, just to resize directly with an automate action as u said and then import them back on S4S but still... Its gonna take forever! 😩😩😩
One doubt after your quick answer (thank u so very much for that ❤️): so, summarizing, if i havent understood it wrong, what u get at the end is one shorter wall (512) and the medium one (1024) that can be used as both: medium and tall wall, yes? Or i need to squish the tall one to the medium size so i have 2 1024 walls but one for medium and the other for tall?

What the game does is stretch the tall wall back out to (I think) 1280 so you'll want to keep the 1280 size and do the squish so that when the game pulls it out to accommodate the tall wall it won't look distorted and stretched out.

I did submit this in the potential future batch fix post for you, btw. I don't know that they'll be able to do anything, but given the scope of this issue it was worth asking.
