Since I started playing Sims 4, it's always bugged me to no end that pregnancy has four 'quadmesters', and that taking a pregnancy test effectively shortens total pregnancy length. I don't want my sims to be pregnant for 24 hours BEFORE the first trimester even starts. And mods like MCCC that change pregnancy duration don't affect this hidden 'not showing' stage at all.
Much googling has come up with nothing. I've never been able to find anything about other people being annoyed by this and/or making mods to change it. I've looked through the tuning files but I'm very new to modding and not sure I'd be able to recognize the right file even if I found it.
Anyway, I'd love for someone to point me in the right direction or collaborate. I'm hoping to make a mod that can do two things: 1) adjust the duration of the hidden stage and 2) eliminate the first official trimester altogether (effectively making the hidden stage the 'real' first trimester). As a bonus (and this is not nearly as necessary, and probably much harder to implement), it would be cool to find a way to make the pregnancy test have no effect on progressing the pregnancy duration.
