I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question (I'm relatively new to all this) but is it at all possible to fix someone else's CC??? You see, I found this piece of cc that I really like, however, it is a little glitchy. When I put in on a sim, it is weirdly stretched out in certain places and is just really annoying to look at and was wondering if there's anyway I would be able to go in and possible find the source of the problem. I would go directly to the creator to let them know their CC is wonky, however, they are no longer involved with the sims 4 and haven't been active in years. Would really appreciate if someone could help a newbie out!

You can use Sims4Studio to open the package of the effected CC (use My Projects rather than My CC). You should then be able to extract the resources and fix whatever the problem is. As long as you're not planning to share it, it doesn't really matter if you modify someone else's work. It's only if you're planning to share it that you really need to worry about the creator's terms of use and attribution.

We would need to see the package to explain how to fix this issue, but it sounds like exceeded vertex group number.

We would need to see the package to explain how to fix this issue, but it sounds like exceeded vertex group number. Yes, to be more specific, it is a full body outfit and on the left foot, the shoe part is stretched upwards revealing some skin. I can't seem to figure out how to attach the package file here, but I would prefer, if its possible, to just remove the lower half entirely so that other shoes can be visible with the outfit on. i should mention that this glitch is only visible in CAS and in game. When I view the CC in s4s, it looks normal.

to fix this file: - export diffuse and all lods; - open lod 0 in blender; - select s4studio_mesh_1, then b__L_LoLid__, delete it with - button; - do not re-use an old package. In s4s main menu click on CAS, in the search bar type in "noctis", select one swatch, Next, save in ts4's Mods folder. Then import all lods and a diffuse, makre other maps blank. If you want to delete the shoes completely: - switch to Edit mode, in Uv editor enable sync; - in 3d view enable x-ray, click and drag to select the shoes somehow, then press Ctrl L to select the rest of them; - not everything will be selected, so in uv editor select the remaining uvs as shown in the pic below; - in 3d view press Delete and choose Faces, save; - add Decimate modifier, reduce Ratio, stopping just before the mesh starts to change its shape. File - Save as, name it LOD 1. Reduce the radio further, save as LOD 2. Reduce until the mesh almost brakes, save as LOD 3; - clone a tank top, import these blend files and diffuse there, then make other maps blank

Ah, right, i forgot about this, apologies. You would need to re-arrange uvs and re-bake textures, which isnt difficult normally, but would be in this case because uvs are very torn and there isnt much space to put them in. Heres an updated package

OMGG THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!! YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER Completely up to you, but just one final request if it's not too much trouble. The original outfit had 3 other color swatches that I would like to include for the one with no shoes. I wouldn't mind if you'd rather tell me how to do it myself, but if its no big deal, here are the diffuses for the other variations blue purple green Thank you again so much for all your help! <3

Unfortunately, i can no longer rebake them, since the original uv map was removed. So the only thing thats left is to recolor them You can do it in photopea of another program - using selection tools, select an area you want to recolor; - create a new adjustment layer ( hue/saturation ), change values; - alternatively, you can create a color fill layer and then change blending mode to Color; - once done, File - Export - PNG

Ahh, i figured it out! I just used the diffuse from your fixed packaged and lined the parts up with one another and that seemed to have done the trick. Thanks so much for your assistance!! <333
