Introduction
Some items in the game require your Sim to earn certain achievements in order to purchase them. This property extends to custom content items that are made from clones of those items. This tutorial will show you how to remove this achievement requirement from objects that have it so that all Sims, even those without the required achievement, can buy it.
What you will need
Sims 4 Studio 2.5.0.5 (Joy) or above
Instructions
1. Clone the Achievement item. Click the Make Buyable button. This change will be applied to all swatches with one button click.

This is exactly what I was looking for, and I'm thankful it's so easy! I made a few rug recolours, without realizing they were locked items in the catalogue. Duh! Now they should work. Thanks orangemittens!
