Hi. I want to make a recolor of a CC object and the creator's TOU says we must not include the mesh... Which option do I select for this? Is it "Standalone Recolor" OR "Override"? And furthermore... Do I first need to add the file of the CC I want to recolor into the S4S's Mods folder, then select it from the s4s's mods folder...and then select either "Standalone Recolor" (or "Override"...whichever one I need to select for it to NOT include the mesh)
And then once I create the proper recolor that does not include the mesh, will the object show up in game along with the original version OR will ONLY my recolor version show up in game?
(I tried searching for the answers but could not understand exactly what was being said and/or a lot of the info was from MUCH older versions of S4S, from like before 2016)
Thank you so much for any and all help :3

Hi. - put the original package in both ts4 and s4s mods folders; - restart s4s; - click on Standalone recolor, filter by Custom, select one swatch, click Next, save into ts4’s mods folder; - export diffuse texture, recolor it, import back.
The mesh is not included by default.

Tysm for trying to explain this. The only part I am confused on though is this: Are you saying I must "select one swatch, click next, then save it into TS4's Mod folder" before I do any recoloring or anything. Idk if I am explaining what I am trying to ask correctly, Im sorry. This is harder to explain than I hoped. So what I am trying to ask, or say is... If for example I clicked on "standalone recolor" then select the item I want to do a recolor of (as in select it from S4S's mod folder after I put the CC file I want to make a recolor of into s4s's mod folder) and press next and the item then shows up in the S4S window (the one that shows the item's swatches/mesh/diffuse layer/ect) and say after it shows up in that window...am I able to just export the diffuse from a selected swatch, save it to my PC, then open that swatch in my art program to recolor it then add that recolored swatch back to it by "importing" the diffuse (as a newly added swatch/after deleting the 'original swatches') then saving the newly recolored CC (and then putting it into my TS4's Mod folder)...would it not work that way? The part im confused on is you saying to "click next, then save into TS4's mods folder" like...that order of things. Is the way I described still a way it will work? ty SO MUCH for trying to help me with this.

You can save it in ts4’s mods folder right away or move it there later, it does not matter
When in s4s catalog, you select one swatch, create a new package, replace the diffuse, then add new swatches. No need to select all swatches of the original when creating the package
