Hey, so I have become kind of decent at frankenmeshing, and I make a couple now and then for personal use. But my question is, what "rules" should I use for sharing a frankenmesh? I know a lot of creators ask that you not use the mesh in shared versions of a recolor, but is that even possible with a frankenmesh? And if it is, do the same rules apply? Is crediting them enough, or do I need to re-hunt down a link for each piece I include, no matter how long ago I downloaded it? And if a piece is used but I *can't* hunt down the DL link (say, if the person is deactivated or I just couldn't find it), is it acceptable to include their name but give a direct DL link to the original?
I have never once shared CC before so I have no clue where to even start with sharing etiquette. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. Are original frankenmeshes made by Maxis (basically, modified game assets) or are they completely custom ( like MD clothing or alpha hair )? If they are made entirely by Maxis, then these meshes are EA property. You can but do not have to credit original creators, this is not their property. If meshes come from packs but do not require them, this is technically piracy, but EA does not police this. If they are made entirely by a cc creator, then it is their intellectual property by default. If including meshes is prohibited in the TOU, then you cannot use their content for frankenmeshing. If you will and be caught, they can file DMCA takedown and have your content removed from sharing websites and your name smeared.
