Hi hi! So I rlly like the idea of 3D eye lashes and as much as I like the ones that are out now, not being able to combine with hat/rings is totally bumming me out. So in comes an old Picky Picachu cc set of 3D lashes, are maxis match and able to be used with hats/rings!! BUT...there is this little problem I am trying to fix. certain hairs mess up the mesh of one of the lashes.. picture down below. As you (i hope) can see certain hairs flip the lash (below img), but some of the same type of hairs don't (above img). I thought it was a weight issue, so I tried fixing it, I could've messed the weight transfer up tho. Or maybe it's something else?? But I wouldn't know what the other issue would be. Maybe someone has an answer?? Hi. - open the original package, export the blend, dont re-use edited one; - open, select the mesh, enable X-ray, click and drag to select the (sim's)left eyelashes; - choose uv_1, enable sync, change pivot to 2d cursor, UVs - Mirror - X axis; - ( optional )add Edge split modifier, apply with the default value; - save, import back, test. Seems to work fine with everything beside monolids

mauvemorn Thank you for commenting!! I tried following your steps. Now my knowledge of blender is not 100% so I might've missed something, but the mesh still gets distorted. But based on your solution, does it mean that the distortion comes from meshes intersecting with the lashes?? here's the blender file with the steps I followed. Did I miss a step?

you edited the wrong uv map, it has to be uv_1. Discard the edited file and repeat the whole process The issue comes from the original author not mirroring uvs in uv_1

Alright, sorry for the late replay, life kinda got me. So I redid the steps, found uv_1 , but still some of my hairs flip the lashes. So I hunted down the OG post and download, redid the steps, but even that didn't work. blender files hereI'm rlly stumped as to what I am doing wrong.

Would you be able to find a link to at least one of these hairs? The issue does not happen in my game, so I can’t test what can fix it

im unable to recreate this issue, do you have custom sliders? presets? head replacement? The linked hair has incorrectly made uv_1 and vertex paint. You can re-transfer everything, but it most likely wont help

I have sliders yes and presets, no head replacements tho...but this is certainly something I didn't consider, so I'll be testing this out in my game O.o

Alright, I tried a clean game with No presets or sliders and the hairs still flip the lashes. then I removed the No EA lashes from my folder. the distortion isn't that bad, but it's still there an the severity changes depending on the eye presets EA has.

Eyelashes removal is a head replacement because maxis heads come with eyelashes. Some presets don’t have them because they are moved inside the head, so this is why you may be getting different results depending on presets used.

I see, at least I now know why it gets so wonky...I hope I can mess around with the new lashes that are coming to the base game. Thnk you so much for your help <3
