I upgraded from blender 2.7 to 3.6 based on the opinions of people here, but the textures on my 3D models are still gray and do not display properly... they did display properly in 2.7... I went to the material mode from the shaving tab and it didn't work. Perhaps this is a rudimentary question and not worth answering for advanced users, but my English is not good enough to find a valid method from the sea of the Internet... Please help!

If you've already added the material/texture, made sure to also turn on the material in the display/shade option for the viewport (in 2.7+ it's in the bottom menu, (usually by default) looks like a sphere, when you click on it you should get the option for "Viewport shading", select "texture").
I'd think it's a similar option in newer versions even if the viewport probably is a bit different.

Hi. You must change the path in s4s settings for s4s to output correct materials and be able to import files back. Files created for 2.7 can be imported only from 2.7. Go to s4s settings and change blender path to blender.exe in blender 3.6 installation folder specifically, then export a new blend file and s4s will output it with right materials. To be able to import old blend files, you must append meshgroups in this file, check cuts, save. Simply resaving old files in new blender does not work.

Thank you both for your responses! I reconfigured the path to export for 3.6 and it now shows up properly! Thank you so much!
